Boarding 

Simply find the right platform with the sign of your destination (or check the number at the timetable) and go to the number of your carriage.
Your many no be able to board until 30 minutes before depature time, in spite of you found the train at the platform. A wagon attendant inspects your train ticket, keeps it with him (the whole journey) and lets you go inside.

Cabins 

The Chinese train #3/4 and the Russian ones have the same second class wagons, the scenery is similar, and the dining car changes at each border.
The popular so-called second class (2/4) "hard sleeper" has four comfortable beds per cabin (two up, two down) plenty of luggage space, and is the same on all trains. First class (1/2) cabins on all Russian trains are the same size and set-up as second class, but with two beds only.
The first class of a real luxury is only available on the Chinese train #3/4. You share a small shower-room with the next compartment and have only two beds in a cabin plus sofa. On the Russian trains 2 berth cabins still have the same bathroom arrangements as 4 berth - 1 bathroom at either end of the carriage.
Food on the trains is not included, but available inexpensively in the dining car for local currency.

Stopover packages 

Unfortunately, a train stops for no more that a half hour in any station.
With the express ticket you can not get on and off the train, if you leave the train the ticket is void.
